660 Lincoln Avenue - The Old Ford Factory

Built in 1915 by Ford Motor Company, the six-story plant was used to make the Model T and had several other uses over the years. It was added to the National Register in 1989. By the 1990s, the abandoned Ford Factory conditions were so deteriorated that the city had proposed tearing it down.

In 2001, Bloomfield/Schon Partners began a $10.5 million dollar rehabilitation of the old Ford plant as loft office space. Where others saw an eye sore, Bloomfield/Schon Partners saw opportunity. The building would offer unique office space in a highly visible area. As a testament to their insight, 660 Lincoln Avenue is now a fully leased office complex.

The success of this project is the direct result of many professionals working together to achieve a common goal. Bloomfield/Schon Partners enlisted the services of industry leaders in, design, construction, marketing, and consulting.

The Sherbert Group takes great pride in working with developers like Bloomfield/Schon Partners. We help clients navigate the complex rules and regulations associated with Rehabilitation Tax Credits. We work closely with clients to help determine economic feasibility, marketability, and all aspects of compliance and reporting. The Sherbert Group was brought in to help restructure the financial agreements, which needed to be re-wired due to increased costs and additional tenant build-out, and has also handled the annual audits and tax returns for the project.

Steve Bloomfield, of Bloomfield/Schon Partners said, "You are the best! It has made a huge difference having you on the team... Thanks again for being there when we needed you."
